Trevor Masvovere and Trymore Kawerere scored the goals that booked the club a slot in the inaugural ZIFA Munhumutapa D2 Cup. Trevor opened the scoring in the 14th minute with a sweet strike after some neat build-up play from the Grassroots side. The usual predator, Trymore Kawerere, then put the result beyond doubt at the death to spark jubilations amongst the Grassroots faithful at First Capital Sports Club, firing the team to a deserved semi-final appearance on the 10th of JUne.
